Message from the president

I am pleased to have this opportunity to formally introduce our society, the Island Rock Crawlers, to you. We are a provincially registered, not-for-profit society of owners and drivers of four-wheel drive and sport utility vehicles.

Our society originated in Victoria, BC. It has since expanded with the addition of the mid-island branch based in the Cowichan area. The portfolio contained herein presents an overview of the society's philosophies; its membership, our participation in the community, and our plans for the future. Please take the time to peruse its contents. Many misconceptions seem to exist in the uninitiated population as to the intent and conduct of four-wheel drive organizations. Responsible use of, and care for our wilderness areas is the driving force behind society efforts. After reading of our members' present and past accomplishments, I'm sure you will agree.

I'd like to extend my personal invitation and that of the society to all who visit this site. Off road experienced, new to the recreation, or just curious, if you are interested in exploring our island wilderness with a group of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts, do take the time to contact one of our executive members. We will do our utmost to answer any questions you may have.
