1st Annual IRC "Chick Run"

On Sunday, February 10 the IRC hosted our first ever "Chick Run". This idea was spurred from our female-only pre-running of the trails used for last fall's Mystery Run. As a result of that day, we decided that we needed to plan a women's only 'wheeling day. Why? We wanted to give women the opportunity to go out on their own, in a non- threatening, fun environment. Without the pressure, testosterone....... tempers, or egos that can often be associated with the opposite sex!

I have to say that after much reservation by some of the male-IRC members when I first suggested the event at our December meeting, the event was scheduled and there was much interest by female members and non-members alike.

The details.....well what can I say? In short:what do you get when you mix:

trucks - women - fire - chocolate - bathing suits - gossip - snow - video cameras - heat - water - estrogen - giggles and did I mention..wieners?!

Ladies, not to worry, as one wise, woman 'wheeler stated; "What happens in the bush stays in the bush!". Your secrets are safe with me. Sorry guys! And for those ladies that couldn't attend.not to worry this will become a regular event. Hey guys, you'd better get busy, we need a truck too!
