As it’s that project time of year – trying to get rigs ready for a summer of wheeling and camping fun we are digging into our tech file for a wide array of features.
Toyota spacers and brakes upgrade, an inexpensive way to add better braking to your Toyota while widening out a narrow track early front axle to match a rear wide track rear axle, Getting in and out of the tow rig is made easier with a set of AMP power steps – gives you back your ground clearance too for getting into tight camping spots. On the Jeep front we install a beefy set of 30 spline axles in our YJ’s Dana 30 – also removing the vacuum disconnect and replacing it with a one piece axle, moving to Fords we have an extensive article on the build process for our Stroker 460-545 big block.
We start our Trail Tour this year early and suck up some great Oregon mud wheeling while we take in some action from Port Alberni BC’s dirt race course. Like Cruisers? The back of the magazine features a very nice restored FJ-40. Welcome to summer – get out and have some fun!
